Throughout his NBA career, All-Star guard Damian Lillard has always gave it all on the court to get the dub. During training camp, the Milwaukee Bucks star imparted what he has experienced in the past to help his fellow hoopers succeed in the sport.
Dame was selected sixth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers, and was named the 2013 NBA Rookie of the Year. He went on to make seven NBA All-Star teams and seven All-NBA Teams with Rip City over the following decade.
In the 2013-14 season, Lillard earned his first All-Star and All-NBA Second Team selections. The following year, he helped the Trail Blazers win their first division title since 1999. He emerged as the Blazers’ franchise player in 2015-16, and in 2016-17 he won the NBA’s Magic Johnson Award for his collaboration with the media.
The All-Star’s career reached new heights in 2017-18 when he was named to the All-NBA First Team. He led the Blazers to the Western Conference Finals in 2019, and had a career-high in assists per game in 2019-20. He was named the NBA Teammate of the Year in 2020-21, though he missed the playoffs that season due to injury.
After returning from injury in 2021-22, Lillard had a bounce-back season, culminating in a trade to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2023. Over his career, the Bucks star has won numerous accolades, including eight NBA All-Star selections, two Three-Point Contest championships, and a gold medal with the U.S. Olympic team in 2020. He was also named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.

With the camp underway, the Bucks guard has the chance to impart what he has learned over the years to the following generation. Hopefully, someone comes along who can surpass everything Dame has built in the NBA.
