The Milwaukee Bucks fell behind early and trailed for most of the first half. In fact, the Brooklyn Nets led by as much as 15 at one point. However, the Bucks came out of halftime and outscored the Nets by 16 in the period to take the lead into the fourth. They kept their foot on the gas, leading by as much as 21 before emptying most of their bench late in the game.

The Milwaukee Bucks Never Gave Up
The Nets surged off to an early lead and appeared to have the game in control early. They started the contest shooting six of ten from three and led 34-22 after one quarter. Milwaukee, however, won the next three quarters 30-28, 39-23, and 27-19 to end up with what would have been a blowout victory had the bench not been emptied with about four minutes left in the game.
After the Nets started hot from three, their offense cooled off considerably. They went 6-26 for the rest of the game from beyond the arc while the Bucks finished 14-37 from three. The Bucks struggled with turnovers, but fortunately so did the Nets. Each team committed 17 turnovers; Milwaukee scored 22 points off of turnovers while Brooklyn scored 21.
Milwaukee really dominated in all other aspects of the game, scoring 28 fast break points to Brooklyn’s 15. They also outscored Brooklyn in the paint 62-44 while the Bucks bench outscored the Nets’ 46-14.
A Physical Game
Typically, the Milwaukee Bucks are one of the highest-volume free throw shooting teams in the NBA. In other words, they get to the line a lot. This was not the case against Brooklyn. Giannis Antetokounmpo had just six free throw attempts and the Bucks had 12 as a team. Unfortunately, they made just four of them.
Meanwhile, the Nets got to the stripe 25 times while making 20 of them.
