The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly given free-agent shooting guard Terence Davis a look, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype:
The Milwaukee Bucks brought in Terence Davis for a workout, league sources told @hoopshype. The 27-year-old guard has averaged 8.0 points in 16.1 minutes per game in four NBA seasons.
It has been a while since Davis last played in the NBA. He began the 2023-24 NBA campaign in the G League, suiting up for the Rip City Remix. However, he sustained a torn Achilles injury through three games, thus putting him on the sidelines for the rest of the season.
Davis has played for two teams in the NBA so far in his pro career. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft but later signed a two-year deal with the Toronto Raptors worth $2.41 million. He was traded by the Raptors to the Sacramento Kings in 2021 and was extended by Sacramento via a two-year, $8 million contract in 2021.
During his rookie season with the Raptors, Davis played well enough to get included in the NBA All-Rookie Second Team together with Tyler Herro, Coby White, PJ Washington, and Rui Hachimura.
Before turning pro, Davis played for four years in college with the Ole Miss Rebels. During his college basketball career, he averaged 12.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. In his senior year, he averaged 15. points and 1.6 steals per contest.
Davis is a long shot to make the Bucks’ final roster, and that’s if he even gets an offer from Milwaukee, which has shooting guards Pat Connaughton, MarJon Beauchamp, AJ Green, and Andre Jackson Jr. on the team’s payroll.
