The Milwaukee Bucks are currently one of the oldest teams in the NBA at the moment. They parted ways with a fair amount of their future assets this summer when they brought in 33-year-old superstar point guard Damian Lillard into the squad — a move that was a clear indication of the team’s desire to win now.
You could make a case that second-year swingman MarJon Beauchamp is currently Milwaukee’s most prized asset for the future. The 23-year-old isn’t exactly an All-Star caliber player — at least not yet — but there’s no denying that this young man has a lot of untapped potential in him.
MarJon Beauchamp Reveals Mentor on Milwaukee Bucks

Given his current stature with the Bucks, it is tantamount that the team does everything they can to aid in the development of Beauchamp. One player, in particular, who has decided to take the youngster under his wing is veteran Jae Crowder.
Beauchamp had nothing but good things to say about Crowder, who he believes has played an integral role in his growth:
“He’s a big mentor to me. He believes in me,” Beauchamp said. “He’s just telling me to be me. That kinds gives me an edge of me being assertive and stuff like that. It’s just a big help.
“He’s playing well too, so I feel like we’re feeding off each other. You can kinda see how we’ve been getting each other going on the offensive side and just on the defensive side.
“Just having our presence out there is big. I feel like we’re just keeping that chemistry and keep going.”

This is one of the biggest reasons why Milwaukee brought in Crowder last season. Apart from the fact that he’s an excellent 3-and-D player, it’s also Crowder’s experience that makes him such a valuable member of the squad.
It is also clear that the 33-year-old swingman is more than willing to share the wealth of knowledge he has with the younger players in the squad. MarJoan Beauchamp is in good hands.
