Monday night’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets had no shortage of action. One moment that stood out for second-year stud MarJon Beauchamp came deep in the third quarter on a fastbreak play. Unfortunately for the 23-year-old, this will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
Milwaukee Bucks’ MarJon Beauchamp Goes Full Shaqtin’
The Bucks did a tremendous job in the third quarter to cut down Brooklyn’s lead. After going on a 10-1 run, Milwaukee had the opportunity to take the lead. Beauchamp had a clear path to the basket for an easy deuce. It did not turn out as expected for them, though:

It seems to me like Beauchamp was caught in two minds here. He probably thought that he could slam the ball without having to dribble the ball, but he decided otherwise when he realized that he just wasn’t as close to the basket as he had anticipated.
It resulted in the 6-foot-6 swingman being whistled for a traveling call, his two points called off, and Beauchamp submitting his entry for Shaqtin’ a Fool.
NBA Fans React
Beauchamp’s antics garnered all sorts of reactions on the mean streets of Twitter. Some fans believe that the refs should have let that go, and that nine times out of ten, players aren’t called for a carry on that same play. Others, however, could not help but clown the young Bucks stud:
Beauchamp gonna be in Shaqtin a fool.@NBA don't even call travel anymore but somehow he did it

MarJon Beauchamp might be doing a cameo on Shaqtin a Fool after that travel on a fastbreak dunk.

Daily reminder to MarJon: learn to jump off one foot (and also not travel when you have a breakaway)

This is a close game too, so Beauchamp better hope that they don’t lose by one point.
