The Milwaukee Bucks shocked the NBA and fans when they signed Meyers Leonard to a 10-day contract in the latter part of February. Upon completion of Leonard’s first 10-day contract, the Bucks’ gave him another 10-day contract. Two 10-day contracts are the most an NBA team can offer a player. Now that the second 10-day contract has expired, Milwaukee has signed Leonhard for the remainder of the season.

Meyers Leonard’s Milwaukee Contributions
Milwaukee allowed Meyers Leonard to resurrect his career. This season, Leonard has appeared in five games and averaged 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in nearly 7 minutes per game. While Leonard hasn’t wowed during his Bucks stint, he provides insurance at the center position. Most of all, Leonard understands his role and will contribute to the team in any way he can.
Meyers Leonard’s Career Numbers
Meyers Leonard is in his 10th season in the NBA. He played seven seasons with the Portland Trailblazers, two with the Miami Heat, and now one with the Milwaukee Bucks. While on the Heat, Leonard was part of the 2020 team that lost in the NBA Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers in the bubble. Leonard had been out of the NBA since 2021 because he used an anti-semitic slur while playing a video game as well as injuries.
The 7-footer has averaged 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds. For a big man, Leonard shoots just north of 39% from deep, making him an excellent backup big man.
