The Milwaukee Bucks will be named in a bunch of potential trades this summer. General manager Jon Horst needs to do what he feels is best for this roster for next season. Milwaukee will need to get younger this offseason.
They need to get players that complement Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard well. The Milwaukee Bucks are known for making swings. Lillard was acquired in a trade last season from the Portland Trail Blazers.
It also Jrue Holiday to Portland in that trade, until the Blazers shipped him to the Boston Celtics. It will be interesting to see if the Milwaukee Bucks make more trades this summer.
Bleacher Report Has a Mock Trade Of the Milwaukee Bucks Trading Brook Lopez To the Washington Wizards For Kyle Kuzma
Tin Windish and Rohan Katti of Bleacher Report created a mock trade that would send Brook Lopez to the Washington Wizards and Kyle Kuzma to the Milwaukee Bucks. Kuzma will be on the trade block this summer for the Wizards. Washington is a team that is rebuilding.
Katti said about the Milwaukee Bucks potentially acquiring Kyle Kuzma in a trade with the Wizards:
“Kyle Kuzma would be a dynamic player and dynamic fit next to a guy like Giannis and be there for Dame. (To) have that secondary and tertiary scoring when one of those guys is on the bench and just being able to put that really dynamic scorer in that mix, and relieve some of the pressure of the guys like Giannis, Dame, and Khris.”
Brook Lopez is in the final year of his contract with the Bucks. Lopez is 36 years old and Kuzma is only 28 years old. Milwaukee would instantly get younger with this move. This trade would be a massive win for the Milwaukee Bucks. They also wouldn’t even have to give up the 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft for him.
Kyle Kuzma played in 70 games last season with the Washington Wizards. He averaged 22.2 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 4.2 APG, 0.7 BPG, and 0.5 SPG. Kuzma also shot 46.3% from the field, 33.6% from three-point land, and 77.5% from the free-throw line.
He was on the 2019-2020 Los Angeles Lakers championship team. Kuzma was the third option on that team with Lebron James and Anthony Davis. He could very well be the third option for the Bucks behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Potentially acquiring Kuzma in a trade could also make Khris Middleton expendable.
