The Milwaukee Bucks have some of the best fans in the entire NBA. However, on Monday night against the Utah Jazz, even the ever-faithful Milwaukee supporters could not hide their disgust at what they saw from their team.
As they watched the Bucks get blown out by as much as 33 points in the first half, Bucks fans just had to air out some of the bottled-up frustration that had been building up amid the team’s current slump. This resulted in the home crowd at the Fiserv booing their own team amid the brutal blowout.
Khris Middleton Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks Fans Booing Team
Giannis Antetokounmpo addressed the issue after Monday’s 132-116 loss to Utah. The Bucks talisman said that he heard the boos, and instead of calling out the fans, Giannis admitted that he would have booed himself, too.
Khris Middleton was also asked to comment on the ugly turn of events at the Fiserv Forum on Monday night, to which the three-time All-Star was left at a loss for words:
“I heard it,” Middleton said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “It’s tough. I don’t have much to say about that. I mean, it happens sometimes, but hopefully it won’t happen again.”
There really isn’t much you can say after being booed by your own fans — especially since the players know that they deserved it.
The Bucks return to action at the Fiserv Forum on Thursday night to host the league-best Boston Celtics, and you can be sure that the fans will be on edge for that one.

I’m sorry but Coach Griff needs to go and he needs to go now! You can tell the players don’t take him or anything he says seriously, on the rare occasions they even listen at all. You think he’s telling Giannis anything?! Are you kidding me? I mean look at his press conferences, he’s like a robot who never changes his energy! I could go up there smiling after getting drubbed by bottom dwelling team & say, “Yeah, you know it was a tough night, but if we rebound better I think we’ll be okay. We have a tough opponent coming up & we look forward to either getting our heads cracked again or if we’re fortunate we’ll just barely be saved by Giannis’s heroics!” There’s no emotion, there’s no urgency! You should not be getting blown out like this, you should not be giving up 140 points every other game! At some point you gotta stand up & say enough is enough, “Our perimeter defense is fucking atrocious & I’ve had it!” There’s ways to call out certain guys, without actually calling out those guys! Damian Lillard is so awful on defense, I’d say he’s even worse than James Harden when he decides to tune out & quit on whatever team he happens to be on at the time. At least he pretends to aimlessly lunge & reach after his man who’s clearly passed him & on his way to score! Like, does Dame have any pride whatsoever? What amazes me most, is defense should be the easiest part of the game because it’s simply about will power, effort & of course being in shape! There’s no excuse for this nonsense. If your team is scoring 120 points a night & you are losing & even getting blown out at home versus bad teams, you have a problem! The players simply don’t want it enough! Their malcontent of a Coach who’s just happy to be here & their disinterested new “superstar” point guard have clearly brought toxic energy to this team. Like, I think even a team first guy like Bobby is thinking, you know what, screw it, “Why should I be the one sacrifing & hustling, when I hardly even get set plays ran for me that in theory, are supposed to put me in an advantageous position to score? For the most part I only score because I grab some offensive rebounds or a broken play gets tipped over to me by happenstance. Last year I was robbed for 6th man of the year but was the runner-up so I could possibly be starting every night while possibly being a 2nd or 3rd option on a different team, that btw is paying me more money!” But again, it all goes back to Dame, as point guard he sets the tone! Not just physically, he’s supposed to bring the appropriate energy, attitude & emotion according to the demands each situation requires! He has to always know his teams temperature. Unfortunately, he never seems to get outta that same sorts “aw shucks” mentality. He doesn’t boost moral, he’s emotionally detached like Coach Griff! Everyone kept wondering, “Why the hell is he choosing to stay in Portland for so long?” Well now, unfortunately, we know why!” He liked to be the big star in a small solar system, the guy who’s unquestionably the best player & then he could just put up a ton of meaningless stats & be the most pitied star in all of sports, while simultaneously getting credit for being loyal to a fault! He was the perfect martyr everyone loved to feeling sorry for, while ignoring his faults. However, the media has treated Giannis & more specifically the Milwaukee Bucks Franchise much differently. Giannis was in his 4th year & the Bucks had just become relevant and the media had already started trying to bully him outta Milwaukee! Smh… The thing is, a good point guard scores when he needs to, but his first priority is to make plays for his teammates, then you can conserve energy, that’s playing smart. You can’t expect Pat Conoughtin to hit a crucial shot in the last 3 minutes of the game, when he’s barely even touched the ball the entire night and only taken 3 or 4 shots at most! How can he be in rhythm? So far, I’d have to attribute at least 65% of the blame for the team’s poor play on Dame! I mean it’s obvious, you trade one guy for another and suddenly, for the first time in years, this team has no togetherness, no passion but even worse they have no backbone, (outside of Giannis.) It’s actually very depressing! It’s the point guard’s job to get everyone involved! Then, suddenly the game is fun again for every one! Then, you start to see more effort & hustle on both ends of the court, guys start getting steals & scoring like it’s easy, then something amazing happens, guys begin to crack genuine smiles & they start playing as one without even thinking about it! It’s like they’re just playing on pure instinct, yet they’re in complete sync. But Dame has to be the catalyst, and he can’t just dribble the ball up the court & pass the ball of to the closest guy standing to him! It’s his job to get penitration, collapse the defense & toss an easy lob to Giannis or Lopez at least every 4th trip down the court. Why aren’t they killing teams with that or what about the non-existent picknroll! Like, you’d have to almost intentionally be trying not to take advantage of the picknroll with the combined talent of those two players! You’d think it would feel as natural to them as taking a breath of air, yet they hardly ever take advantage of something that should be the best two-man game in the NBA! So, what the hell, I guess I’ll just say it in plain English. I think Dame hates playing second fiddle & I think he’s trying to get traded & I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucks traded him to a place like Houston or OKC, for a huge hall of young athletic guys with plenty of upside! Think about it, he never looks invested in a game! I think, he thought, Miami would be perfect because as good as Butler is, he is getting older & he sorta picks & chooses when he feels like being amazing & I think Dame looked at that situation & said to himself, “There’s no way I’m going to be the man on the Bucks, however, in Miami, I at least have a very good chance, especially being the point guard who can pass the ball to Jimmy Butler when he see’s fit! It’s so sad to see that for the first time in years the Bucks aren’t a “TEAM,” It’s a group of individuals pursuing their own goals!” I see no fight, I see no cohesion, I feel like Griff & Dame’s lackadaisical & emotionless attitudes have severely effected the rest of the team. I’m wondering how badly Boston will kill us tonight? My prediction is Jrue locks up Dame and he has one of those 7 for 25 nights. I’m not looking forward to it.
