The Milwaukee Bucks received a huge lineup boost, as it was announced that Khris Middleton will make his much-awaited season debut against the Boston Celtics on Friday. The 33-year-old swingman returns after recovering from an offseason surgery on his ankles.
This is certainly great news for Milwaukee Bucks fans, and none could be more hyped about it than Middleton’s former teammate, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, who talked about it during the latest episode of The Thanalysis Show.
“Yessir! K-Middy! Khash Money!” Antetokounmpo exclaimed. “Every Bucks fan and everybody in the league should be excited. NBA viewership should be up because Khris is coming back. Like, I’m ready.”
“I don’t care about the outcome (against the Celtics). I don’t care about nothing. I just wanna see those three guys (Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Khris Middleton) on the court for as long as we can,” he added.
Khris Middleton will likely play on a minutes restriction against the Boston Celtics. Last season, the three-time NBA All-Star averaged 15.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists on 49/38/83 shooting splits across 55 regular season appearances.
Milwaukee Bucks plan to return to winning ways
The Milwaukee Bucks’ seven-game winning streak ended by the Atlanta Hawks last Wednesday with a score of 119-104. However, they remain the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference table with an 11-10 record.
The Doc Rivers-coached squad also qualified for the NBA Cup knockout stage after compiling a 4-0 record in East Group B. The Milwaukee Bucks will face the Orlando Magic in the quarterfinals next Tuesday.
If the Milwaukee Bucks stay healthy throughout the rest of the season, they can make a deep run both in the NBA Cup and in the playoffs.
