One man who’s expected to be significantly impacted by the arrival of Damian Lillard is none other than Milwaukee Bucks star swingman Khris Middleton. From being the Robin to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Batman for many years now, Middleton is expected to take a step back now that Lillard has been brought in.
In a recent interview, Middleton shared his brutally honest view on what could be a challenging transition for him.
Khris Middleton Speaks Out on Milwaukee Bucks Pecking Order

As always, Middleton has remained a true professional. When asked how he feels about the transition of becoming a third-stringer behind Giannis and Lillard, the Bucks veteran got 100% real on his response:
“Me being the third guy, I have no problem at all,” he said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “I mean, these guys are going to make my life easier. I hope I can make their life a little bit easier.”

Middleton has clearly gotten the memo and he has taken no issue with the same whatsoever. Ego has never been an issue for this man, and it’s not as if this is going to change now that the team has a second bona fide superstar on the squad.
Life Will Be Easier

It is very interesting to note that based on his own assessment, Middleton clearly believes that Giannis and Lillard are “going to make my life easier.” This is absolutely true.
While there are some who will point out that Middleton could struggle to get his chances now that Lillard is in the picture, the counterargument is that the three-time All-Star is likely to have more quality chances once opposing defenses gravitate towards Giannis and Dame.
Holding down Antetokounmpo is hard enough, but with Lillard also requiring a ton of attention on offense, the floor should open up significantly for Middleton. In fact, so long as he’s able to remain healthy, Middleton could be in line for a massive year for the Bucks.
