The Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Los Angeles Clippers by the score of 127-117 on Saturday night. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak and dropped Milwaukee to 25-18 on the season. Los Angeles, meanwhile, improved to 26-19.
Unfortunately, the Bucks had to play the game without Bobby Portis (personal reasons) and AJ Green (quad strain). Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard had stellar nights, but the bench was obviously missing two of their biggest contributors.
The fact that Khris Middleton had arguably his worst game of the season did not help.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Khris Middleton Looked Bad vs the Los Angeles Clippers

Despite the loss, Giannis had 36 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, and a block. Lillard had his second straight triple-double with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Unfortunately, the only bench player that made a positive impact on the game was Gary Trent Jr., who scored 19 of the unit’s 21 points. The other two points were scored by Tyler Smith in garbage time in the final minute of the game.
Middleton, who played 19 minutes, was 0/4 from the field, scored no points, grabbed four rebounds, and had one assist.
Aside from his poor stat line, the three-time All-Star looked more like a shell of his former self than he ever has. He was consistently beat on defense when challenged to move laterally, and oftentimes appeared to show no effort on that side of the floor.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Go Off on Khris Middleton Following Loss to the Loss Angeles Clippers

Both during and after the game, Bucks fans were quick to point out how slow Middleton looked on both sides of the ball. One really has to feel for the franchise’s all-time leader in three-pointers made. It is obvious that his body just cannot move the way it used to:

Khris Middleton can be a contributor but he no longer possesses the mobility to be a starter. Especially on this version of the Bucks. And starting Ajax just to play him ten minutes a night is pointless. So bucks essentially have major question marks at two different positions.

Khris Middleton has overstayed his welcome. Has been!!!!!! Keep hanging on to what he’s done if you Bucks fans want to never win anything again

Bucks twitter can get emotional about it & the Beal thing is not the move but Middleton absolutely needs to go

It’s sad as hell watching Khris Middleton these days. He had a helluva run but it’s OV. pic.twitter.com/eqvL34KS2q

It has been rumored that Milwaukee would be willing to trade the former NBA Champion for the right price. Of course, many fans would love to see that.
It should be noted, though, that other NBA teams are seeing the same thing that Bucks fans are seeing in regards to how poorly Middleton is playing. Why would they give up an All-Star, much less a role player, for what the Bucks forward is doing right now?
