Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the captains for the NBA All-Star Game, which will take place tonight in Salt Lake City, Utah. Along with Western Conference captain LeBron James, Giannis will select from the pool of All-Star players that were selected by players, coaches, and fans. In order to avoid a situation like the one in which Kevin Durant and James kept on avoiding selecting James Harden a few years ago (he was voted a starter by fans, but was the last player selected), Giannis and LeBron will pick from the reserves first and then the starters.
Jrue Holiday’s Strong Message for His Fellow Milwaukee Bucks All-Star
Prior to the All-Star break, the Bucks defeated the Chicago Bulls 112-100 on their way to their 12th straight victory. Before the game, Holiday had a clear message for Giannis, which he shared with the TNT crew:
“He better pick me. He says he’s going to pick me [first]. I would love to be on his team, but believe me, if he doesn’t pick me first, my feelings won’t be hurt. I think at the end of the day, it’s about winning a game, It’s about winning, being competitive, and putting on a great show.”
It sure would be cool to see them on the same team, though. Hopefully Giannis gets the message.
