Joe Mazzulla Slaps Boston Celtics With Harsh Reality After Milwaukee Bucks’ Doc Rivers Hire, Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier Trade

The Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to fire Adrian Griffin and hire Doc Rivers as his replacement has caused a lot of drama within the organization. Also, a lot of opinions have been thrown around by several personalities about the issue, including Gilbert Arenas, Shaquille O’Neal, and Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla.

In an interview with NBC, Mazzulla wonders why anybody is competing with the Celtics. Since the team hasn’t won a championship in 14 years, it only makes sense that Boston is also chasing other franchises in the league, he added.

At this point in time, the Boston Celtics are on top of the Eastern Conference, with the Bucks in second place. The former’s formidable lineup of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis is proving to be a deadly one, while the duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard isn’t far behind.

How The Milwaukee Bucks’ Doc Rivers Hiring and Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier Made Them Better

In the video, Mazzulla mentioned other teams and how the Celtics are going to match up against them. The latest developments in the NBA revolve around the Miami Heat trading Kyle Lowry for Terry Rozier and the Milwaukee Bucks hiring Doc Rivers as their head coach.

Joe Mazzulla: ” We haven’t won so I don’t know why anybody’s competing with us. We haven’t won a championship since 2008… we’re chasing people just as much as people may say they’re chasing us” pic.twitter.com/wUqhWejsso

When it comes to the former, the Heat got rid of an aging veteran whose offensive capability has been dwindling over the past few years. In exchange, they received a dynamic shot-creator who can drain buckets from anywhere on the floor in Rozier. Expect the guard to pair up well with Miami’s core of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo.

The more intriguing, though, is the latter when the Bucks hired Doc Rivers to coach the team. The one-time Coach of the Year is known for handling superstars and getting the best out of them. With Antetokounmpo and Lillard at his disposal, expect a new dynamic to come out of Milwaukee soon.
