There is a bit of concern for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler’s injury status ahead of Monday’s highly-anticipated matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. This is after the six-time All-Star was forced to sit out Miami’s blowout loss against the Minnesota TImebrwolves on Saturday due to rest purposes.
At this point, however, all signs are pointing to Butler suiting up against Milwaukee on Monday.
Erik Spoelstra Speaks Out on Jimmy Butler’s Status Ahead of Milwaukee Bucks Game

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra played down any and all concerns surrounding Butler’s current injury status. The 34-year-old is not nursing any injury, and the reason why he was unable to play against the Timberwolves is because it was the second half of a back-to-back set.
“It was part of the plan with Jimmy and the training staff,” Spoelstra said, via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. “They just want to continue to make sure that he’s feeling good, particularly early on.”

Coach Spo added that Butler’s absence against the Wolves does not mean he will be sitting out the team’s back-to-back sets moving forward:
“No, we’re going to take it week by week,” Spoelstra said.

Barring any unforeseen setbacks, Jimmy Butler should be on the court on Monday as the Bucks host the defending East champs at the Fiserv Forum. A lot will be riding in this rematch of last season’s first-round playoffs matchup, and you just know Jimmy G won’t be sitting this one out.
