The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 104-101 on Sunday afternoon. Playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo (thigh contusion), it took a total team effort and a 22-point second half by Jrue Holiday to give Milwaukee their 14th straight victory. The game also marked the first time Jae Crowder faced his former team since leaving the team before the season and forcing a trade. The Suns first traded him to the Brooklyn Nets, who in turn traded him to the Bucks. After the game, Crowder described his approach and mentality when it came to facing them for the first time.

Journalist Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel asked Crowder asked him about facing his old team. She shared a video of his response on Twitter:

Must have been surreal for Jae Crowder @CJC9BOSS to play his old team just 2 games in to his return to the court.

But he said he only wanted the W in this game – Bucks beat Suns 104-101 – and to move on.

“I just wanted to get the win,” is what Crowder stated. He talked about how he asked his Bucks teammates, before the game, to get this win for him. Crowder knew, however, it would not be an easy game. He discussed how good the Suns are as a team, but that he is glad to have gotten the win and is ready to move on.
