The Milwaukee Bucks are looking forward to making their selections in the NBA Draft on Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon. Milwaukee will own the 23rd pick in the first round and the 33rd overall pick in the second round. General manager Jon Horst and other scouts have done extensive homework on potential NBA Draft prospects.
This is the year for the Milwaukee Bucks to keep their picks rather than trading them away. They need to get younger for the future. Their selections on Wednesday and Thursday will tell us what the plans are for the rest of the offseason in preparation for the 2024-2025 season.
Milwaukee needs to build around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard for the future. Other players on the roster could be traded on NBA Draft night or at another time this offseason.
The Milwaukee Bucks Scouted Oakland Golden Grizzlies Sensation and Wisconsin Native Jack Gohlke Ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft
Jack Gohlke has not appeared in many NBA Mock drafts, but there are a lot of unknowns with the 2024 NBA Draft. According to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Milwaukee Bucks worked out Jack Gohlke on Monday.
Oakland University’s NCAA hero & Pewaukee’s own Jack Gohlke worked out with the #Bucks, per his agent Kevin Martin.
The NBA Draft is over two days this week.

Jack Gohlke is from Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and is 6’3″ and weighs 215 lbs. His name will forever be remembered in NCAA Tournament history because the Oakland Golden Grizzlies stunned the Kentucky Wildcats in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this season.
Gohlke in that game scored 32 points and shot 50% from three-point land. In 36 games played last season with the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, he averaged 13.1 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 1.1 APG, 0.1 BPG, and 0.7 SPG. Jack Gohlke shot 37.9% from the field, 37.6% from three-point land, and 78.5% from the free-throw line.
It would be a shocking decision if general manager Jon Horst decided to draft Jack Gohlke with the 23rd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday night. The Milwaukee Bucks are better off drafting a center who can replace Brook Lopez in the first round.
Jack Gohlke should be available with the 33rd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday afternoon. It would be more practical to take him in the second round rather than the first round. If Gohlke does go in the first round on Wednesday night to the Milwaukee Bucks, a lot of fans will seem puzzled.
