It is safe to say that the 2025-26 NBA season has been an absolute disaster for the Milwaukee Bucks. Even before the year began, they had to contend with trade rumors revolving around 10-time All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and those rumors have only persisted as Milwaukee has slid further and further down in the standings.

These rumors, which Giannis was able to briefly dispel by saying he would never ask for a trade, have been a distraction for Bucks players all season long. Surely the uncertainty surrounding the team’s best player, whether it is coming for outside the locker room or within their own building, does nothing but hurt the Bucks’ chemistry.

Injuries, too, have taken their toll on the Bucks all season long. And their matchup against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night will be another game that sees them short-handed.

The Milwaukee Bucks injury report for game against the Denver Nuggets

The Bucks, fortunately, will have Giannis healthy for their matchup against Denver on Friday night. They also are likely to get another starter back from injury, but two of their key rotation players have come down with an illness and are questionable.

    Bucks injury report

    • Alex Antetokounmpo (G-League/two-way): Out
    • Taurean Prince (neck surgery): Out
    • Kevin Porter Jr. (oblique strain): Out
    • AJ Green (illness): Questionable
    • Gary Trent (illness): Questionable
    • Myles Turner (ankle sprain): Probable

If neither Green nor Trent can play tonight, Milwaukee will be incredibly short-handed at the guard position as Porter is already out.

Fortunately for the 18-25 Bucks, Denver has quite a lengthy injury report as well.

    Nuggets injury report

    • Tamar Bates (foot surgery): Out
    • Christain Braun (ankle sprain): Out
    • Aaron Gorden (hamstring strain): Probable
    • Cameron James (knee bone bruise): Out
    • Nikola Jokic (knee bone bruise): Out
    • Jamal Murray (hamstring/hip): Questionable
    • Jonas Valanciunas (calf strain): Questionable
    • Peyton Watson (ankle spraid): Questionable

Denver is currently 30-15 and in third place in the Western Conference.
