Giannis Antetokounmpo stole the show yet again for the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets. The former back-to-back MVP flexed his elite-level skill on both ends of the floor as he led Milwaukee to a hard-fought 129-125 victory at the Barclays Center.
Milwaukee Bucks Coach Still in Awe of Giannis Antetokounmpo
First-year head coach Adrian Griffin has been at the helm for the Bucks for just six games. During that time — and of course, throughout the preseason — the 49-year-old has been a first-hand witness of Giannis’ greatness. Griffin admits that he still has to pinch himself at times.
“He’s phenomenal, he’s a winner,” Griffin said. “… When you say it’s a guy or wins or not, he defines that because he’s willing to do whatever it takes for us to win as a team.
“… I’m still in awe of how he can take over the game on both sides of the ball, and I think that’s what makes him great.”

There’s going to be much more where that came from for the former back-to-back MVP. Giannis Antetokounmpo will need to be at his very best this year if he hopes to deliver the Bucks back to the promised land. At the end of the day, Milwaukee will only go as far as their talisman takes them.
They have to take it one game at a time, starting with Wednesday’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons.
