The good times stopped rolling for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night, as their five-game win streak came to an end via a 127-117 loss in Inglewood at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers. Milwaukee lost despite another big performance from Antetokounmpo.
The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player finished the Clippers game with 36 points on 12-for-22 shooting from the floor. He appeared to be a little more aggressive on offense than usual, as the “Greek Freak ” only had an assist to go with 13 boards and a block in 35 minutes of action.
Antetokounmpo also managed to move up a notch on the NBA’s all-time scoring list (h/t Eric Nehm of The Athletic).
Per Bucks PR, Giannis Antetokounmpo has passed Bernard King (19,655) to move up to No. 53 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Giannis Antetokounmpo climbs up the NBA all-time scoring list

Antetokounmpo entered the meeting with the Clippers 54th in the NBA all-time with 19,629 points but he’s now 53rd with 19,665. He should be able to move up at least one more spot on the lost before the end of the 2024-25 NBA regular season.
Barring a lengthy absence, Antetokounmpo should surpass former Utah Jazz star point guard John Stockton for the No. 52 spot on the list. Stockton finished his remarkable NBA career with 19.711 points. Antetokounmpo can continue to add to his points total in the league on Monday when the Bucks continue their road trip with an assignment in Salt Lake City versus Stockton’s former team.
On the season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.4 points on 60.2 percent shooting from the floor.
