Another game, another loss for the Milwaukee Bucks, who got preyed on by the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night to the tune of a 129-105 score. The blowout nature of the contest resulted in many fans leaving the venue early, but those who stuck around were treated to the AJ Green show.
AJ Green Showed What He Could Do For The Milwaukee Bucks
Green went off for a game-high 27 points on the strength of his hot shooting from behind the arc. He went 9/11 from the floor and 7/8 from deep. He scored 15 of his points in the fourth quarter while also knocking down five of six attempts from the 3-point distance in that same period. In addition to that, Green broke a Giannis Antetokounmpo streak.

Antetokounmpo played only 27 minutes against the Timberwolves and scored 17 points to go with seven assists and eight rebounds. But the night belonged to Green, at least from a scoring perspective for the Milwaukee Bucks, who, as a team., shot 49.4 percent from the field and hit 14 of their 33 attempts from the 3-point region.

Green is only averaging 8.5 minutes per game in the 2023-24 NBA regular season, but Doc Rivers gave him plenty of playing time against the Timberwolves due to the blowout nature of the contest and the fact that the Bucks were shorthanded because of injuries to Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton and the trades that happened prior to the contest.
