Giannis Antekounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks were all business on Monday night as they defeated the Washington Wizards on their own home floor, 142-129. Once again, Giannis took center stage as he led the Bucks to their fifth straight win.
At this point, it’s hard to deny that Milwaukee is finally getting its groove after its relatively rough start to the season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Sounds Off on Milwaukee Bucks’ Win
Giannis finished Monday’s victory with a game-high 42 points on a very efficient 20-of-23 shooting. He also added 13 rebounds, eight assists, a steal, and a block in what was one of, if not his best performance early in the campaign.
After the game, Antetokounmpo took to Twitter to send a simple yet fundamental message. It appears that this also serves as a reminder for himself:
“Respect the game, but you gotta have some fun with it,” Giannis wrote in his tweet.

Antetokounmpo wasn’t messing around on Monday night, though, as he dominated the Wizards in what was a truly inspiring performance from the two-time MVP. However, As Giannis said in his tweet, it’s always important to still have fun in the process. After all, this is still a game.
Things get a little bit more serious for Giannis and Co. in their next outing. They are slated to take on the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night in what is going to be a showdown between two Eastern Conference teams with championship aspirations this season.
For all we know, this could very well be a preview of this year’s East Finals.
