It’s not very often that there’s a shortage of star power in the home crowd whenever the Brooklyn Nets play at the Barclays Center. On Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, one of the biggest football/soccer superstars on the planet graced the game to watch a shorthanded Nets side get themselves blown out on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. was in the building on Wednesday to witness Giannis put on a show against the Nets. The 23-year-old was not left disappointed.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Meets Up With Vinicius Jr. After Win
As far as I know, Vinicius Jr doesn’t necessarily support the Nets. The Brazlian has been on a bit of a tour of the United States for the holidays, and his latest stop was Brooklyn to (presumably) watch the former back-to-back MVP in action.
Being the football buff that he is, Giannis did not let the opportunity pass without greeting Vini after the game:

As Giannis said, he gave the footballer the whole package, which included his game-worn shoes and a signed jersey off his back. Antetokounmpo even noted that Vini is the “No. 1 Brazilian player in the world.” Clearly, the seven-time All-Star is a fan, too.
Fortunately for Vinivius, Giannis was able to play through his injury on Wednesday night after being listed as questionable to play. Antetokounmpo looked perfeclty fine, finishing with a game-high 32 points on 10-of-12 shooting, to go along with 10 rebounds, eight assists, and two blocks in 30 minutes of action.
