Throughout his NBA career playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has personified hard work and excellence. But above all of his accomplishments on the court lies the All-Star forward’s true motivation to succeed.
Ever since the Greek Freak was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013, the forward has grown exponentially over the years. From averaging 6.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists as a rookie, Antetokounmpo is now putting up MVP numbers in his 11th season in the league with 30.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.
In between his time as a young rookie in the NBA and now as the Bucks’ best player, Antetokounmpo has accomplished several accolades few in the league could ever come close to. For starters, he’s a two-time MVP, eight-time All-Star, seven-time All-NBA, five-time All-Defensive, and the 2016-17 Most Improved Player of the Year awardee.
He also holds several franchise records for the Milwaukee Bucks. These include games played, points scored, field goals, free throws, total rebounds, assists, blocks, triple-doubles, and usage percentage, among others.
But above all of those achievements, Antetokounmpo’s crowning glory was when he became an NBA champion by leading Milwaukee over the Phoenix Suns in 2021. For his effort, he was named Finals MVP.
