As Giannis Antetokounmpo celebrated his 29th birthday on Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks star reflected on his life and made sure to offer some words of wisdom and inspiration to his fans.
On X, formerly Twitter, Antetokounmpo thanked his family, friends, fans and followers for all the birthday greetings and gifts, writing: “Thank you for all the calls, messages and the cake. MORE LIFE!!!!”
He accompanied his post with a video of himself sharing a rather motivational message as he reflected on his 29 years of life. Antetokounmpo said, “Enjoy life, man. I’m 29, it goes by fast, man. Enjoy life. Spend time with your loved ones. Don’t let nobody live life harder than you. Smile more. Be happy. Be humble. Be hungry. Be you. Enjoy life. More life to you! Love!”

Inspiring words, indeed. The fact that it came from Giannis Antetokounmpo makes it even better. As many fans would know, the Greek Freak is a true rags-to-riches story, growing up poor in Greece and working hard to achieve his dreams.
So when Antetokounmpo said to “let nobody live life harder than you” and “be hungry,” it definitely came from experience. He lived it, and he’s now reaping the benefits of all his hard work.
Birthday Treat for Giannis Antetokounmpo
While Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn’t able to celebrate his birthday with his loved ones since he’s in Las Vegas for the NBA In-Season Tournament, the Bucks made sure that it remained extra special.
In order to celebrate his birthday, the whole Bucks squad sang the birthday song for him during practice on Wednesday. It was definitely quite the endearing gesture, and lucky for fans, it was caught on video by some reporters and shared on social media.

The Bucks play the Indiana Pacers on Thursday in the semifinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament. Sure enough, one of Antetokounmpo’s wishes is to win the competition (and the prize money that comes with it). There would be no better birthday present for the Greek Freak than that (at least basketball-wise).
