The Milwaukee Bucks had a 118-111 lead with 40 seconds remaining in overtime against the Indiana Pacers. It appeared as if the Bucks were going force a Game 6 thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s heroics, but the Bucks choked down the stretch and lost 119-118 in overtime.

The Bucks for the third straight season have been eliminated from the playoffs and it is the second straight year that Indiana has sent them home. Antetokounmpo was great all series long for Milwaukee. He scored 30 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, recorded 10 assists, blocked two shots, and recorded two steals. Antetokounmpo also shot 52.9% from the field. It will be interesting to see what team he will be with in 2025-2026 after Milwaukee was eliminated in the playoffs once again.

NBA Insider Thinks That Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Next Stop Could Very Well Be the Houston Rockets

There maybe several NBA teams that will look to trade for the superstar in the NBA offseason. The Athletic’s John Hollinger thinks that Antetokounmpo’s time with the Bucks is over after the latest playoff loss against the Pacers. One team that would make the most sense for both parties is the Houston Rockets.

Houston has the draft capital and young players that Milwaukee is looking for. Antetokounmpo would be able to help a Rockets team in the future. Houston currently trails in its series against the Golden State Warriors 3-1 and could very well lose the series. Hollinger said,

“Instead, the Bucks should be looking to get in the lottery this June as part of any trade, kick-starting things right now.

The most obvious candidate is Houston. The Rockets can offer an electrifying mini-Giannis in Amen Thompson, salivating draft picks in the form of a 2025 lottery pick from the Suns, unprotected Phoenix firsts in 2027 and 2029 (the latter of which is the better of Phoenix’s or Dallas’) and enough salary-matching flotsam to offset Antetokounmpo’s incoming $54.6 million and get a deal to the finish line.”

There will be some other teams that will be interested in Antetokounmpo. Three other teams to keep an eye on will be the Brooklyn Nets, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the San Antonio Spurs. Houston and Oklahoma City would make the most sense for both Milwaukee and Antetokounmpo. However, Brooklyn would not make a ton of sense for the superstar.

San Antonio would be an interesting place for him to go because of De’Aaron Fox, and Victor Wembanyama. However, the Rockets might have the most to offer and it maybe time for Milwaukee to start a rebuild.
