Giannis Antetokounmpo was a man on a mission for the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night. They were in dire need of a win after suffering back-to-back losses, and the former back-to-back MVP made sure that this was going to be the case.
Thanks to another impressive performance from their talisman, Milwaukee prevailed, 118-109.
Milwaukee Bucks Coach Heaps Praise on Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis finished the contest with a game-high 35 points on 13-of-22 from the field. He also added 11 rebounds, two assists, and a triple, which also happened to be the 500th three-pointer of his career.
After the game, head coach Adrian Griffin had nothing but high praise for his superstar and how Giannis pretty much carried the Bucks against Chicago:
“He was phenomenal the whole game and we needed him down the stretch and he kind of took things in his own hands,” Griffin said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “We need someone to make the plays down the stretch. We got a little bit stagnant. We were kind of sanding and watching, and we just gotta to keep executing, but he was able to put his head down and get to the rim and get to the free throw line and that’s what you need down the stretch.”

Damian Lillard put in another forgettable effort in this one, scoring just 12 points on 3-of-17 shooting. Bobby Portis, however, came up big off the bench yet again, dropping a season-high 19 points in 26 minutes of action.
As Griffin said, however, it was Giannis who led the Bucks to victory against the Bulls. This is going to be the trend for Milwaukee moving forward, but it also goes without saying that Antetokounmpo will need a lot of help from his friends along the way.
