Milwaukee Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin is in a bit of hot water yet again. This is after reports emerged about Bobby Portis calling out the rookie shot-caller in front of the whole team in the aftermath of Milwaukee’s gutting semifinal loss to the Indiana Pacers in the NBA In-Season tournament.
While there might now be whispers emerging surrounding Griffin’s tenure as the team’s head coach, Bucks fans have come out to offer their full support for the 49-year-old.
Trouble in Paradise?
According to reports, Portis interrupted Griffin’s post-game speech in the locker room as the former harped on the team’s lack of structure on the offensive end. Coach Griff reportedly welcomed the criticism, which led to what you would think was a productive exchange between player and coach.
Both Portis and Griffin have already broken their silence about the supposed spat, and while both of them did all they could to play it down, neither denied that there was a bit of a confrontation between them.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Backing Coach Griff
This isn’t the first time Griffin’s ways have been put into question. Let’s not forget that ex-assistant coach Terry Stotts walked out on the team right before the season started after a supposed dispute with Griffin.
Despite the recent setback, however, Milwaukee supporters have been vocal about their support for their head coach:
Doing well.
Things to improve on, but every coach has things to improve on 🤷🏻♂️

Got the whole regular season to get it together. We get elminated round 2 then we can have a conversation

He’s been solid for a rookie head coach. He’s had a couple dumb moments but I still prefer him over Bud. He’ll get better as the season goes on.

Room for improvement but we'll get there

Solid job so far. Players seem to love his open door policy. No complaints.

Of course, there are still a handful of fans who want Griffin out, but the general sentiment is that he’s doing relatively well. All things considered, of course.
