LeBron James has been playing in the NBA for over two decades. In other words, he has seen it all. However, playing a preseason road game against the Milwaukee Bucks appears to be one that he won’t be cherishing once his legendary playing career is over.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers star openly complained on social media about his disinterest in flying to Milwaukee for a Thursday showdown against the Bucks.
“Can someone please explain to me why we’re getting on a ✈️ and heading to Milwaukee for 1 pre-season game!?!?” the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player posted on X (formerly Twitter).

It did not take long before other users of the social media platform flooded the reply section of James’ post with all sorts of reactions.
“Hey LeBron, it’s greg. The reason for this is because if you were to drive there it would take over 29 hours so I’m guessing your coaches thought it would be more efficient to fly. Hope this helps.” – @greg16676935420

To be fair to James, preseason games are ultimately meaningless. Plus, preseason games will not add much to his legacy, from an individual standpoint. Still, it’s part of life in the NBA.
The Lakers are winless through two games in the 2024 NBA preseason. The Bucks are 0-1, on the other hand, after losing to the Detroit Pistons on the road last Sunday.
