The Milwaukee Bucks are waiting for their entire 2023-2024 season schedule to come out. In the meantime, some games are being leaked as to when Milwaukee will play this season. According to Shams Charnia of the Athletic, the Bucks will face the Philadelphia 76ers at home on the first Thursday of the NBA season.
Milwaukee Bucks Face Philadelphia 76ers Early This Season
That game will be televised on TNT on Thursday, Oct. 26. A lot can happen between now and then with both of these basketball teams. The Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks will have high expectations this season.
Milwaukee was the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 58-24 record last season, and Philadelphia was the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 54-28 record last season.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Current State
The Milwaukee Bucks appear to be in a better state at the current moment than the Philadelphia 76ers. Milwaukee has its core pieces together, and they are ready to make another run at an NBA title. Milwaukee has Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the charge, and they will need to stay healthy and have other players step up along the way.
Adrian Griffin Jr. will have some different coaching philosophies than Mike Budenholzer did, but there is no excuse not to be one of the top teams in the NBA this season. As long as Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez also stay healthy, they will be fine. Pat Connaughton, Grayson Allen, and MarJon Beauchamp will be key players off the bench, along with Bobby Portis Jr.
Philadelphia 76ers’ Current State
The Philadelphia 76ers are currently a mess. James Harden is trying everything in his power not to play for Philadelphia next season after calling out Daryl Morey, and Joel Embiid is still with Philadelphia for now. A lot can change between now and the start of the season.
Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris will be two of the other key players, but they don’t have a deep bench as of right now. Nick Nurse is the new head coach of this basketball program after Doc Rivers was let go. The 76ers must figure out their identity before the season begins, or this will spill over into the regular season.
This will be a huge game to start the 2023-2024 NBA season between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
