Draymond Green Has Major Concern for Milwaukee Bucks After Doc Rivers Hire

So far, the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to hire Doc Rivers hasn’t produced a single victory yet. Both of the games he oversaw have resulted in losses for the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led squad.

The first loss occurred a few days ago when the Bucks visited the Denver Nuggets. While Antetokounmpo was stellar in that contest, the duo Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray was simply too much for Milwaukee. Plus, Denver also found a way to neutralize Damian Lillard, leading him to score less than 20 points in that game.

Just recently, Milwaukee fell to the Portland Trail Blazers, which spoiled Lillard’s return to his first team in the process. And even if the All-Star point guard played well, the Bucks’s defense didn’t exactly rise up to the challenge against Portland.

Without any wins to show for, the Bucks under Rivers are experiencing more pressure from fans to win games. It remains to be seen whether Milwaukee will get one in the coming days or not.

Draymond Green Reveals His Concern About the Milwaukee Bucks After Hiring Doc Rivers

Speaking of defense, the Bucks weren’t looking great in that department in the last two games. The Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green gives his take on the hiring of Doc Rivers and why defense is a concern in this matter.

According to the Green in an episode of his podcast:

“I’ve never known Doc to be the greatest defensive coach in the world. What I have known Doc is to have some offensive sets that’ll have you scratching your head like, where was I supposed to be in help on that one? Coming out of timeouts, dialing plays up crazier than anyone we’ve ever seen. That’s what I’ve known Doc for. So tough circumstances. I think to come in under, and then you’re also coming in under Championship or bust,” Green said.

Of course, a couple of wins and an improvement in defense will surely change the narrative for Rivers and the Bucks. Stay tuned to see whether Milwaukee can win one in the following days or if their losing streak continues.
