The Milwaukee Bucks have some roster retooling to do. While some are calling for a complete makeover, the team did finish with the one-seed in the Eastern Conference. They ran into a hot Miami team that has been surprising many people in the playoffs. What is more likely is a couple of smaller moves here and there. One report suggests the Bucks should go after “3-and-D” specialist, Dorian Finney-Smith
Milwaukee Bucks To Target Dorian Finney-Smith?
Finney-Smith was traded from Dallas to Brooklyn in the Kyrie Irving deal. Finney-Smith is already an excellent defender which would bolster an already stout defense. Where he provides upside is on the offensive end. He shot nearly 40% beyond the arc and a couple of years ago and while those numbers have dropped slightly, the Bucks would provide him with more space. Giannis Antetokounmpo provides lots of space for shooters. The question is will Brooklyn be willing to trade him?

Will Brooklyn Trade Him?
Finney-Smith is 30 years old. The Nets seem to be on a longer timeline with Mikal Bridges being the centerpiece of a rebuild. Cameron Johnson is a free agent and money could get tight for the team. In this scenario, many teams decide to trade the asset for something rather than lose the player for nothing. If the Bucks can offer some young pieces, the Nets might bite. The other question would be the fit for the Bucks. They definitely need offense and Finney-Smith might just be another defender.
Dorian Finney-Smith to the Milwaukee Bucks is interesting but I’m not sure it moves the needle in a huge way. The Bucks have many decisions to make this offseason as they try to maximize their championship window.
