Just like many other basketball fans, Milwaukee Bucks superstar point guard Damian Lillard was left amazed when he saw the father-and-son duo of LeBron James and Bronny James on the floor at the same time during Sunday’s preseason game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.
“I ain’t gone lie this so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”, Lillard captioned an Instagram Story showing LeBron and Bronny together on the court.
LeBron, who will be turning 40 years old in December, still looked fantastic for a man his age. The four-time NBA Most Valuable Player scored 19 points on an efficient 8-for-12 shooting from the floor to go with five boards, four assists, and two blocks in just 16 minutes of action. However, Bronny was far from productive, as missed his only field goal attempt to finish with zero points while also turning the ball over four times, though, he had two rebounds in 13 minutes of playtime.
Milwaukee Bucks lose in first preseason game
Like the Lakers, Lillard and the Bucks suffered a preseason loss on Sunday, as Milwaukee absorbed a 120-87 defeat on the road at the hands of the Detroit Pistons. Lillard started and played 17 minutes, concluding the game with 15 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the floor and adding four assists, two rebounds, and a steal.
Bobby Portis led the Bucks with 16 points off the bench. It’s worth noting, though, that the Bucks went against the Pistons minus Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will have another chance to play this Thursday when they host LeBron and the Lakers.
Milwaukee will open its 2024-25 NBA regular season on Oct. 23 against the Philadelphia 76ers on the road.
