Milwaukee Bucks star point guard Damian Lillard did not hold back on his opinion about the Las Vegas Raiders after Antonio Pierce’s team suffered a 22-10 loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers in Inglewood last Sunday.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard left frustrated by the Raiders in Week 1 of 2024 NFL season
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Lillard, who is a Raiders fan, expressed his disappointment over Las Vegas’ performance.
“F—–n Raiders man,” Lillard wrote.
Lillard can be blamed for feeling that way about the Raiders. Las Vegas went scoreless in two quarters and only came up with a touchdown score all game long versus the Chargers. Las Vegas was very much in position to win the game in the fourth quarter, as the Chargers were ahead by just two points at the start of the final period.
But it turned sour for the Raiders when JK Dobbins broke away for a 12-yard rushing touchdown early in the fourth period. Los Angeles added another touchdown with under four minutes left in regulation when rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey scored a touchdown to extend the Chargers’ lead to 12 points. In between those Chargers scores was a field goal by Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson.
The Raiders will look to have a better performance in Week 2 when they visit Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Hopefully for Lillard and Raiders fans, Las Vegas will pull off an upset against a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
