After being on the injured list that put him out for more than one month, Milwaukee Bucks’ star Damian Lillard has suffered an Achilles tear, taking him out of the game once again.
Milwaukee Bucks Lose Damian Lillard to Injury Again

As the Bucks potentially face elimination from the playoffs after losing game 4 against the Indiana Pacers, they also lose a key player in Damian Lillard.
Lillard suffered the injury early in the first quarter after securing an offensive rebound, falling to the court and struggling to get up after getting the ball to a teammate. He exited the game right after, and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Head coach Doc Rivers said that Lillard would be undergoing an MRI on Monday morning to get better results, saying the situation isn’t “very promising.” When Lillard left the arena, he was in a boot and walking on crutches.
ESPN’s Shams Charania confirmed on Monday morning that Damian Lillard had in fact suffered a torn left Achilles tendon.
Damian Lillard ends on a solid year; averaging 24.9 PPG, 7.1 assists in 58 games before he was sidelined with deep vein thrombosis. Without Lillard on the court, it’ll be up to players like Giannis Antetokounmpo to once again carry a heavy load in the hopes of leading his team to a victory.
Milwaukee already trails the series 3-1 and losing Lillard again is just another blow at their chances of keeping the series alive. They travel to Indiana on Tuesday for a game 5, where it could potentially be their last game of the season.
