The Milwaukee Bucks brought in Damian Lillard for one primary reason. Well, truthfully, the front office also had Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future in mind when they traded for the former Portland Trail Blazers superstar. However, there’s no denying that the main motivation for Milwaukee was winning an NBA championship in the immediate future.
Damian Lillard Has Faith in Milwaukee Bucks
You just know that there’s going to be a lot of championship talk for the Bucks from Day 1. They have assembled one of the most fearsome superstar duos in the history of the NBA for this sole objective, and there’s no denying that the pressure is going to be sky-high from the start of the season. As a matter of fact, there’s already a lot of pressure heading into the new campaign even before this team has played a single minute of regular-season basketball.
For his part, Lillard is confident that his team is capable of winning it all this year. The seven-time All-Star recently highlighted some aspects that he believes will be key for the Bucks if they want to bring the title back to Milwaukee at the end of this season:
“The depth is what makes me think this is my best chance to win,” Lillard told Melissa Rohlin of FOX Sports. “We’ve just got to be healthy. And we’ve got to be together.”
So long as Milwaukee is able to check those boxes — which obviously is going to be much easier said than done — then it would not be a surprise at all if this team ends up in the NBA Finals come June.
