There’s no denying that the Milwaukee Bucks have gone through a handful of bumps on the road early on in the new season. This is expected considering how this is pretty much a revamped side that brought in a new superstar point guard to hold the reins.
Even the players themselves will admit that it’s been a rough road. They also know that there are going to be even more trials along the way.
Damian Lillard Vocal on Milwaukee Bucks’ ‘Rough Patches’
Damian Lillard is the new kid on the block. He’s probably the one who’s had to make the most adjustments with his new team as well.
The one thing you can’t deny about Dame is that he’s a tested veteran. He knows what he needs to do in this situation. According to Lillard, the rest of the squad does as well:
“It’s what everybody expects of us – because of what we have,” Lillard said, via Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel . “I don’t think we address it. We are not sweating it to need to talk about it every day. We have all been around long enough to know from time to time, things get hard. It’s a long season. There’s rough patches.”
At this point, it’s all about riding the wave for Lillard and the Bucks. As Dame said, there’s going to be growing pains along the way, which is something that should only make this team stronger once they are able to overcome these tests.
It’s only a matter of time before this team gets on the same page. When this happens, the rest of the NBA better be ready.
