It has been quite an adventure so far in the 2024-25 NBA regular season for Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks. They started the season looking very shaky, winning just one of their first seven games and only three of their first 11 outings.
Lately, though, the Bucks are having a great time on the court, with the team stitching together four wins in a row, including last Sunday’s 123-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at home.
Damian Lillard sounds off about the Milwaukee Bucks amid hot stretch
Following that game, Lillard, who made history in the same contest by becoming the newest member of the NBA’s 22,000-point club, shared a powerful statement about the Bucks amid their success.
“I think what we saw was when our mind is right, when we’re focused and when we’re disciplined and together, we’re one of the best teams in the league,” Lillard said in a postgame interview with Milwaukee sideline reporter Melanie Ricks (h/t FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin).

Lillard fired 25 points in the Sixers game, shooting 7-for-17 from the field while hitting four of 11 tries from behind the arc. He also dished out four dimes and grabbed five rebounds in 40 minutes.
While there remain questions about the Bucks’ roster, Milwaukee is still a team to reckon with, particularly because of its superstar 1-2 combo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The 24-17 Bucks will look to keep it going this coming Wednesday when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
