There was some doubt surrounding Damian Lillard’s status for the Milwaukee Bucks heading into Thursday’s marquee Eastern Conference matchup against the Boston Celtics. Dame was unable to suit up on Monday against the Utah Jazz due to an undisclosed personal issue, which also put his status into Thursday’s contest into question.
As such, the fans have been asking the same question: Is Damian Lillard playing tonight vs. the Celtics?
Damian Lillard Missed Milwaukee Bucks’ Last Game
Lillard’s services were missed on Monday night as the Bucks battled the Jazz without their starting point guard in the mix. Cameron Payne was also sidelined due to a concussion, which left Milwaukee’s backcourt extremely thin.
This resulted in Utah blowing the Bucks out on their own home floor, en route to a 132-116 victory. That loss was the Bucks’ fourth defeat in five games in January.
As mentioned previously, the nature of Lillard’s personal matter was not revealed.
Damian Lillard Good to Go Vs. Celtics
The good news for Bucks fans is that Lillard’s most recent spell on the sidelines will be short-lived. Milwaukee has cleared the seven-time All-Star for Thursday’s showdown against the best team in the NBA, which is obviously a massive boost for the Bucks.
Milwaukee enters this game with an utter lack of momentum on their side, while the Celtics are coming off a huge overtime victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves, currently the No. 1 seed in the West, on Wednesday night.
So, with regard to the question of, is Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Playing Tonight Vs. Boston Celtics? The answer is yes.
