The Milwaukee Bucks are the 2024 NBA Cup Champions following their 97-81 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo, of course, led the Bucks to the win with 26 points, 19 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and three blocks on his way to the NBA Cup MVP Award.
But what was often overlooked both during and after the game was the performance of eight-time All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, who had 23 points on 6-12 shooting, which included going 5-10 from three. He also had four rebounds and four assists.
Milwaukee’s win and the Bucks players’ stats from that game do not count towards the NBA regular season totals, but Lillard is still averaging 25.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game this year.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Gets a Life-Time Contract from Adidas
On Wednesday, the day after the Bucks won the NBA Cup Championship, it was reported by Shams Charania of ESPN that Lillard and Adidas had agreed to a life-time endorsement contract. The Bucks point guard is now one of just four current NBA players who have life-time contracts with various brands:

The other three NBA players with life time contracts are Steph Curry (Under Armor), LeBron James (Nike), and Kevin Durant (Nike).
Lillard originally signed with Adidas when he was first drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2012. According to Doric Sam of Bleacher Report, Lillard’s agents negotiated a 10-year $100 million extension with Adidas in 2014.
Earlier in 2024, Adidas announced that its basketball court at company headquarters was being renamed after Lillard.
Per Sam, Lillard has now made over $600 million in his career between his NBA contracts and various endorsement deals.
