Milwaukee Bucks Get 1 Future Hall of Famer in Latest Trade Rumor

The Milwaukee Bucks have been on a frantic chase to regain the form that helped them win the NBA title in 2021. However, a myriad of factors prevented the team from returning to the postseason highs that saw them lift the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time in decades.

While the team is preparing for another run at the Finals, rumors surround the team regarding their players. Stars such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard have been linked with moves away from the team, even if the possibility of them leaving is unlikely.

While trade rumors often fly about when it comes to star players, there are talks of a trade that would also place the Bucks in an interesting situation. If the move gets greenlit, Milwaukee will find a future Hall of Famer providing much-needed leadership to Doc Rivers’ locker room.

Chris Paul is linked to make the Milwaukee Bucks move in the middle of the 2024-25 season

Athlon Sports’ Jonathan Kubicek reported that the San Antonio Spurs would be open to moving Chris Paul to the Bucks if they’re willing to make one specific move:

In our proposed mock trade, the Spurs would send out Chris Paul and Sidy Cissoko for AJ Johnson and Pat Connaughton.

Plenty of Spurs fans have convinced themselves that Sidy Cissoko can be a long-term piece, and while he has all the physical tools, this season will be telling.

If he doesn’t receive a boost in minutes, there’s not much reason to keep him around. In return for granting the Bucks some cap space next summer and giving them a true leader, the Spurs get an untapped rookie who won’t have much NBA experience.

Many were surprised when Paul decided to sign with the Spurs when everyone knows that he’s chasing an elusive ring that’s lacking from his impressive NBA career. The Bucks will be an intriguing fit for CP3 if Lillard would move over to the shooting guard position.

Moreover, Paul’s history with Doc Rivers would also play a huge role in a potential CP3 trade. They are familiar with each other during their days with the Lob City Clippers, and it wouldn’t take a lot to integrate the point guard to the squad.

If the two squads do decide to pull this trade off, the Milwaukee Bucks will instantly become one of the most intriguing sides in the NBA.
