The Milwaukee Bucks (9-4) have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference entering Monday’s matchup on the road against the Washington Wizards (2-10). Washington has the 2nd worst record in the Eastern Conference, and this is a game that Milwaukee can’t afford to lose.
They had a huge win on Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks at home by a final score of 132-125. This is also a game that is a potential trap for the Bucks because they have a road game on Wednesday before Thanksgiving against the Boston Celtics (11-2), who are currently the best team in the NBA this season.
Washington recently lost to the New York Knicks on Friday night, 120-99. Kyle Kuzma scored 19 points for the Wizards and he also grabbed four rebounds and recorded five assists. Deni Avdija scored 18 points, and Wisconsin native Jordan Poole only scored eight points for the Wizards on Friday night.
Once again, the duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard was working together this past Saturday night against the Dallas Mavericks. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 40 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, and recorded seven assists for Milwaukee. As for Damian Lillard, he scored 27 points, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded 12 assists.
Brook Lopez also scored 12 points on Saturday night against Dallas for Milwaukee.
Keep An Eye on the Beef in the Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards Between Damian Lillard and Jordan Poole
The Bucks and the Wizards could get ugly on Monday night. Milwaukee can very well win this game over Washington by 20-30 points. To go along with that against Washington, there has been some beef in the past between Jordan Poole when he was with the Golden State Warriors and Damian Lillard when he was with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Both teams will need to keep their tempers. The Bucks don’t need to get anyone suspended before the big game on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics. There is no one on the injury report for Monday night’s matchup. That is good news for both sides as the Milwaukee Bucks look to take care of business early and often against the Washington Wizards and will look to avoid being upset also.
