On Tuesday against the New York Knicks, the Milwaukee Bucks just did something that has only been done once before: make 23 triples while shooting over 60 percent from the field and from deep.
The Bucks destroyed the Knicks 146-122 in the NBA In-Season Tournament Quarterfinals showdown. Sure enough, their 3-point efficient was a huge reason for that, as the team finished on 23-of-38 shooting. Damian Lillard led the way after making five of his seven triples, while Malik Beasley was equally impressive after going 6-of-10.
It was indeed quite the historic night for the Bucks, with the numbers backing it up. Apparently, it’s only the second time in NBA history that a team shot 60.4 percent from the field and 60.5 percent from three with 23 made triples, via ClutchPoints.
Only the Orlando Magic did it before, a feat they achieved in 2009.

Bucks’ Offensive Dominance Should Scare the NBA
It’s quite the interesting stat, which further highlights how potent Milwaukee’s offense can be with Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way.
While it’s unlikely the Bucks will always shoot as efficiently as they did against the Knicks on Tuesday night, what’s important is that they showed what they are capable of. With Lillard now in the fold, Milwaukee has proven that it can now dominate both inside the painted area and outside beyond the arc.
Defense is something the Bucks still need to improve, but offensively, there are only a few teams that can match up to them. As things currently stand, Milwaukee boasts the third-best offensive rating in the NBA, only behind the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Bucks will be facing the Pacers in the semifinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament, which should be a good test for the team as they try to further establish their dominance in the East and the NBA.
