Bobby Portis was a crucial figure for the Milwaukee Bucks yet again on Wednesday night. The veteran was up to his usual antics off the bench as he helped Milwaukee blow out the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena, 128-112.
Portis had a special message dedicated to their opponents after the game, and I’m pretty sure Raptors fans aren’t going to love it one bit.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Bobby Portis Reaction to Lopsided Victory Vs. Toronto
Portis took to Twitter for his usual post-game reaction. This time around, however, he decided to throw a bit of a jab in the direction of the Raptors:
ROAD KILL! Gotta keep building it. Brick by brick #UD pic.twitter.com/Wq9jPdDKJk
— Bobby BP Portis (@BPortistime) November 16, 2023
ROAD KILL does sound about right. After all, the Bucks came into Toronto’s territory to humiliate the home team in what turned out to be Milwaukee’s second win of the season.
Games away from the Fiserv Forum haven’t been very good for the Bucks. They are now 2-3 on the road, and the fact that they were able to avenge their blowout loss against the Raptors earlier this season clearly means a lot to Portis and Co.
Portis came off the bench in this one for 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting. He went 2-of-3 on his attempts from deep, while also logging seven rebounds, two blocks, and zero turnovers.
The 6-foot-10 big man played 31 minutes against the Raptors, which is a significant uptick from his usual 22.8 minutes off the bench. The fact that the Bucks were down a few bodies on Wednesday meant that Portis was going to get some extra run, and this could be the case for the veteran moving forward as Milwaukee continues to deal with some early-season injury woes.
