The Milwaukee Bucks, once again, exited the NBA Playoffs following a first round series defeat. Unfortunately, they were defeated in five games by the hated Indiana Pacers, who also sent Milwaukee home early in the postseason last year. Now, Bucks fans can only watch as the Pacers have built a 2-0 series lead over the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, who, like Milwaukee, are dealing with some significant injuries on their roster.
The Bucks’ third consecutive first round exit from the NBA Playoffs have led many to question in what direction the franchise will go this offseason. Of course, the biggest question (especially for those outside of the Milwaukee fanbase) is whether or not Giannis Antetokounmpo will request a trade.
For now, though, the Bucks and their fans can only stew in their disappointment. Truly, what made this exit worse is that it came at the hands of Indiana, whose fans have not been very kind to Milwaukee’s players on social media.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Bobby Portis Reveals the Messages He Gets from Indiana Pacers Fans

Of course, Giannis was the target of some taunting after Game Five in a sequence of events that went viral on social media. John Haliburton, the father of Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, was banned by Indiana from attending any more games over an indefinite period because of what he allegedly said to the Bucks star.
Giannis claims that Haliburton cursed at him, while the Oshkosh, Wisconsin native claims he was just saying “Yay! Yay!”
But whatever Haliburton’s father said to the Greek Freak pales in comparison to the messages that Bobby Portis received from fans on social media. During a recent appearance on “Run It Back,” Portis revealed that he got some hate-filled messages from Indiana fans:
Pacers fans don’t talk trash Lou Williams & Bobby Portis the same way 😅
“That’s you, man…they hate me. I’m ugly. I got big eyes. F me, my family. They hope I die…especially after we lost to them. I had the same exact guys from last year on me again.”@BPortistime |… pic.twitter.com/LjeWZmFlfI

After Lou Williams said that his experience with Pacers fans was that they were the most respectful trash talkers he had ever encountered, Portis replied with: “Well that’s with you man. With me, they hate me, man. Everything that you can think of. They hate me. I’m ugly. I got big eyes. F me. F my family. They hope I die. All type of stuff, man. Especially after we lost to them. I had the same exact guys from last year on me again.”
Portis went on to say that he does not take anything said about him on social media seriously. He stated that these fans are people he will never see or get to know in person, so he does not put any weight behind their words.
