The Milwaukee Bucks were without Khris Middleton for most their Playoff run in 2022. The three-time All-Star suffered a sprained MCL against the Chicago Bulls in the opening round. Today, it was reported that Middleton underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist. He is expected to be ready bear the start of the 2022-23 season.

As of right now, there is no word on how Middleton sustained the injury. It should be noted that the injury is on his non-shooting arm.
The Milwaukee Bucks Need Khris Middleton
As was evident in the Bucks’ semi-finals loss to the Boston Celtics, the team needs Khris Middleton in order to be a true contender for a NBA Championship. Middleton has been named an Eastern Conference All-Star three times in the last four seasons. He has also averaged over 20 points per game in four of the past five seasons. During that time, Middleton is averaging 19.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game on 46/39/88 shooting splits.
Throughout his career, Middleton has averaged 20.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in the playoffs (69 games). He has also performed well against the Bucks’ biggest rivals in the East since 2017:
- Boston Celtics- 20.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists
- Miami Heat- 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists
- Philadelphia 76ers- 17.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists
- Brooklyn Nets- 21.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists
During the Bucks’ playoff run that ended in the team’s first Championship in 50 years, Middleton averaged 23.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. This included a 40-point performance in Game Four of the NBA Finals.
