There are just no two ways about it. The Milwaukee Bucks got a good old whopping at the hands of the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.
Toronto capitalized on a night that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. just couldn’t get it going on both ends of the floor, and it resulted in a 130-111 blowout win in favor of the Raptors.
Milwaukee Bucks Coach Highlights Silver Lining of Tough Loss
For Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin, however, there is still something positive to take away from Wednesday’s beatdown. According to the rookie coach, Milwaukee should treat this as a learning experience:
“This is good because you get to learn,” he said, via Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun. “Sometimes getting embarrassed is good because it forces you to focus on doing the right things consistently, and this is what this league is about.”
The man has a point. As they always say, experience is always the best teacher and the Bucks already have a couple of good learning experiences so early in the season.
The deflating loss to Toronto was their second blowout in four days following Sunday’s defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks. Clearly, Coach Griff won’t have a shortage of bad experiences to draw some positive insight from at this point.
While it’s true that it’s nice to have these early-season struggles out of the way, the most important thing for the Bucks is to actually get them out of the way. Simply put, they just can’t keep losing like this.
