The Milwaukee Brewers are currently trying to keep up with the red hot Cincinnati Reds in the National League Central. On Friday night they started a three game series against the Cleveland Guardians. Milwaukee ended up winning by a score of 7-1 in large part due to a huge night from shortstop Willy Adames.
Willy Adames’ two home runs propels Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.
In the first inning Willy Adames collected his first hit in which he ended up having a four hit performance. He began the evening off with a base knock two out RBI single. His second hit came in the sixth inning when he hit a three run home run that landed in the streets of Cleveland.

An inning later Willy Adames hit a double that bounced off the top of the wall in left center field. This put him a triple away from the cycle. He got an opportunity for it in the ninth inning, but rather than go for a three bagger he ended up hitting his second home run of the night with this one going to right center field.
On the mound for Milwaukee was Wade Miley. He was excellent in his second start after returning from the IL. He tossed six scoreless innings on just 67 pitches and unfortunately some cramping caused him to be removed earlier than expected.
Game two against the Guardians will take place on Saturday afternoon with the first pitch scheduled for 3:10 PM CT.
