On X the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers announced that Brewers reliever Trevor Megill will be with the team for Minor League rehab assignment. He is scheduled to pitch on Thursday, August 15. Megill has thrown live batting practice with Milwaukee and his rehab assignment is expected to be brief. He has been recovering from a back injury.

Trevor Megill has been a crucial piece to the Milwaukee Brewers bullpen this season.
After being acquired from the Minnesota Twins last April Trevor Megill has found success with Milwaukee. After Abner Uribe struggled to begin 2024 and was subsequently suspended Megill stepped into the closers role while Devin Williams was out. He ended up recording 20 saves and has a 2.41 ERA.
What role might Trevor Megill have with the Milwaukee Brewers once he returns?
A day after Devin Williams returned Trevor Megill was placed on the injured list. Once Megill returns from his back injury and both are active it is expected that Williams will remain the closer and Megill the set up man/high leverage reliever. This combination in conjunction with Bryan Hudson, Jared Koenig, Elvis Peguero, and others should make for a dominant bullpen as the regular season draws to a conclusion and the post season approaches.
