Last season, the Milwaukee Brewers entered the year with one of baseball’s most hyped young rookie prospects: outfielder Jackson Chourio. Starting a slow start to his big league career, in which he posted a sub .600 OPS across the team’s first 50 games, the 20-year-old caught fire and never cooled off, finishing his rookie campaign with 21 home runs, 22 stolen bases, a .791 OPS, and a 3.8 bWAR, good for third in the NL Rookie of the Year voting.
This year, Milwaukee does not possess a blue-chip MLB-ready prospect like Chourio, yet one top media outlet believes their farm system remains flush with top-end talent. On Tuesday, Baseball Prospectus released their top 101 prospects for 2025, with the Milwaukee Brewers housing four representatives. NL Central teams sit tied with the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals for most representation on the exclusive list.
Milwaukee Brewers Prospects Flood Top 101 List
According to Brew Crew Ball:
Four Brewers prospects named to Baseball Prospectus’ top 101 list
The Milwaukee Brewers have four representatives on Baseball Prospectus’ top 100 prospects of 2025. Headlining the group is infielder Jesus Made, an international signee who set the Dominican Summer League on fire last season, slashing .331/.458/.554/1.012. He hit six home runs and stole 28 bases in 51 games. The 17-year-old switch hitter has elite bat-to-ball skills and posted more walks than strikeouts in the DSL last year. Following Made is the trio of catcher Jeferson Quero, shortstop Copper Pratt, and right-handed pitcher Jacob Misiorowski.
Quero is the likeliest to make his MLB debut in 2025 but will have a tough time carving out a consistent role behind superstar catcher William Contreras. Quero hit 16 home runs with AA-Biloxi last season. Meanwhile, Pratt, a sixth-round pick in 2023, is a glove-first shortstop who can hit for contact. Misiorowski, the Brewers’ top pitching prospect, owns an elite fastball/slider combo and pitched well in AAA-Nashville last season, owning a 2.55 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in 14 appearances.
Tyler Black Absent From Top 101
Most Notably for the Milwaukee Brewers, first baseman Tyler Black did not make the Baseball Prospectus Top 101 despite flirting with blue-chip prospect status before last season. A first-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, Black has posted elite numbers down at the farm, owning a .272 batting average and .855 OPS across five levels. He has also hit 37 home runs and stolen 93 bases across 315 minor-league appearances.
Per FanGraphs Baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers could have three rookies crack the opening-day roster, including Black. Infielder Caleb Durbin, Milwaukee Milwaukee’s 15th-ranked prospect per MLB.com, and left-hander Connor Thomas could find themselves on the original 26-man roster.
