The Milwaukee Brewers had two of their players selected on Major League Baseball’s Team of the Month for June. MLB made a complete roster from catcher, infield, outfield, starting pitchers, and relievers and Milwaukee was tied with the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates with the most selections.

Of the 17 players chosen on MLB’s June Team of the Month two Milwaukee Brewers pitchers made the cut. They were Tobias Myers and Trevor Megill. Tobias Myers is a rookie whereas Trevor Megill has been having a successful season while filling in for Devin Williams in the closers role.

How did Tobias Myers perform during the month of June?
In June Tobias Myers made five starts, pitched 31.1 innings, had a 1.44 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and .185 batting average against. He threw eight innings of one hit ball against the Detroit Tigers and four out of his five starts covered at least six innings. Increased usage of his four-seam fastball instead of the cutter is being credited for one reason for his success.
How did Trevor Megill perform during the month of June?
Coming out of the bullpen Trevor Megill had a month of June that consisted of 12.1 innings pitched, 0.73 ERA (one earned run), 12 strikeouts, and he was nine for nine in save opportunities. His monthly WHIP was 0.81 and batting average against .146.
